Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is the direct manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, such as muscle, tendon, and connective tissue. Massage therapists use their knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and tissue palpation to identify areas of pain, tightness, trigger points, and inflammation. The use of varying degrees of pressure is used to apply massage therapy techniques to reduce pain, increase flexibility, release tension, and promote circulation and drainage in these areas as needed.
In addition to these techniques, exercise, education, and self-management techniques are provided to reduce pain and promote healing.
