Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release is a manual therapy technique that can be used by our massage therapists. Manual pressure is used to locate stiff and restricted areas in myofascial tissue that can contribute to pain and decreased movement. Appropriate focused and sustained manual pressure is then applied to the identified area to loosen the restricted tissue leading to pain relief. Patients are assessed to determine if myofascial release treatment is appropriate and it can also be incorporated with other massage therapy techniques.
Benefits of Myofacial Release may include:
- Decreased pain and soreness
- Improved joint and muscle range of motion.
